General Conference 2008 |

Steps of Grace sent an audition tape in to be considered for performing at General Conference 2008. In July, 2007 they were invited to participate in the Combined Dance Choir during the Opening Worship Service. They accepted the invitation and began raising money immediately for the trip. The trip was awesome. The preacher blessed each girl before their departure while their church family enveloped them with loving prayers. First United Methodist Church of Crowley, Texas invited the girls to their Youth meeting. The following evening, the girls were joined by Adirondack Liturgical Dance Troupe from Plattsburgh, New York to share their original dances with the group from Crowley, Spirit Moves. Everyone at Crowley was warm and welcoming and the event was a spiritual blessing. Angela Norris Johnson was the director of the dance portion of the opening worship service. Her vision turned out to be a beautiful interpretation of movement and dance that celebrated the love of our Lord. Without the love and support of an entire community, this dream would have never turned into reality. Steps of Grace wants to thank everyone that believed in them. |
